Elizabeth Gordon and Francis Canlas
February 2, 2013
Elizabeth and Francis met through their parents in the fifth grade. After a 14-month engagement—Francis proposed in December 2011 in front of Rockefeller Center’s famous Christmas tree—the self-described “childhood sweethearts” celebrated their big day with a classic ceremony highlighted by Filipino traditions. The bride wore a Mori Lee gown and carried a bouquet of white roses, orchids, freesia and stephanotis, while guests dined on lobster pot pies, roasted chicken, balsamic steak and Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams. One of the bride’s favorite moments happened on the morning of the festivities. “Having brunch just the two of us and exchanging wedding gifts was so memorable,” Elizabeth says.
