Bride's head revisited. Work with your hairstylist ahead of time to make sure your wedding won't coincide with a bad hair day. Schedule a test run a week or so before the wedding so you can see the style you've chosen. (If you plan to wear a tiara or other headpiece, take it along for the dry run.) The test will give you a chance to make changes before the crucial day arrives.
Girls' night out. Planning a wedding can be a hectic time, so take steps to alleviate stress. Many brides take their wedding parties to a spa for a relaxing, rejuvenating day of pampering, which might include massages, facials, manicures and pedicures.
Go au naturel. Well, not totally. But rely on a natural look for the day's makeup; your wedding day is not the time to experiment with a new look. Bring a touch-up kit to the wedding, with a small powder compact, lipstick or lip liner and (on this day so well known for tears) waterproof mascara.
